3.6 magnitude quake jolts Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 21: A day after two back-to-back earthquakes struck Baramulla in north Kashmir, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake was felt in the region on Wednesday evening.

This is the third earthquake to strike the region in the last 36 hours.

   

Kashmir Weather portal reported that the earthquake that occurred at 10:22 pm had a magnitude of 3.6 on the Richter scale and the epicentre was Baramulla, Kashmir with a latitude of 34.33 North and longitude of 74.52 East and a depth of 5 km.

On Tuesday, Baramulla was struck by a 4.9 magnitude earthquake, followed by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake.
