6 Administrative Secretaries nominated as J&K Nodal officers

Jammu, Aug 15: J&K government has nominated six Administrative Secretaries as Union Territory level Nodal Officers for the specified themes and pillars, in connection with the upcoming 4h National Conference of Chief Secretaries.

The conference is scheduled to be held in November 2024, in New Delhi.

   

As per the GAD order, the Administrative Secretary, Industry and Commerce Department will be the Nodal Officer for the pillar “Creating Enabling Ecosystem- Focus on Tier 2 3 cities” and sub-theme “manufacturing”. The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade will be the nodal ministry.

The administrative Secretary, Information Technology Department will be the Nodal Officer for the pillar “Creating Enabling Ecosystem- Focus on Tier 2 3 cities” and the sub-theme “Services.” The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will be the nodal ministry.

The administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department will be the Nodal Officer for the pillar “MSME and informal employment” and the sub-theme “Rural non-farm.” The Department of Rural Development will be the nodal ministry.

The Administrative Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department will be the Nodal Officer for the pillar “MSME and informal employment” and sub-theme “Urban.” The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will be the nodal ministry.

The Administrative Secretary, Science and Technology Department will be the Nodal Officer for the pillar “Opportunities in Green Economy” and the sub-theme “Renewable energy.” The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will be the nodal ministry.

The Administrative Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department will be the Nodal Officer for the pillar “Opportunities in Green Economy” and the sub-theme “Circular Economy.” The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change will be the nodal ministry.

These Nodal officers will be responsible for ensuring the preparation of Union Territory-specific notes and feedback notes for the respective sub-themes and their uploading on the designated portal (http://ncsconf.gov.in) within the stipulated time frame and in consonance with the instructions issued by the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, Government of India, in this regard.
