65-year-old man killed over land dispute in north Kashmir’s Sopore; accused arrested

Sopore, Sept 02: A 65-year-old man was allegedly killed by his cousin brother after a scuffle broke out between them in the Tarzoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Monday.

An official said that the man was allegedly killed in a scuffle that broke out between him and his relatives in Tarzoo area of Sopore.

   

He added that as the scuffle turned violent, the man was left seriously injured by his cousin brother. He was later shifted to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, said the official.

The deceased was identified as Khazir Mohammad Malik 65, son of Mohammad Sultan Malik, a resident of Asthan Mohaalah Tarzoo, Sopore.

Police has registered a case vide FIR no. 89/2024 at police station Tarzoo Sopore under relevant section of Law and the accused has been arrested, the official said.
