9-year-old Hajin boy’s body retrieved from Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Baramulla

Srinagar, Sep 04: The body of a 9-year-old boy who drowned in the river Jhelum on September 1 has been retrieved from Jhelum at Gantamulla area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Quoting an official, news agency KB reported that Sahil Ahmad, son of Abdul Rashid Lone from Gund Jahangeer, Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora was taking bath in Nallah Weyth when the strong currents drowned him.

   

On Tuesday, the people of the village held a protest, demanding a robust search operation from the authorities to locate the minor boy. 

The incident has caused sadness in the whole village.
