Srinagar, Aug 07: In preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, the Apni Party on Wednesday authorised the party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) Chairman, Mohammad Dilawar Mir, to make recommendations on candidate selection and mandate issuance for the assembly polls across Jammu and Kashmir.
In this regard, he has been asked to present his report to the party president within 15 days. Also, the party has tasked its Election Manifesto Committee with drafting the poll manifesto, so that it can be put in the public domain within the next 15 days.
According to a press release , the Apni Party convened a crucial meeting today to address key issues related to the upcoming assembly elections. The meeting was chaired by party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.
“The participants held extensive discussions on various issues related to the upcoming polls. It was decided to authorise Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Chairman of the party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC), to make recommendations on candidate selection and mandate issuance for the elections. Mir has been requested to prepare his report and present it to party chief Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari within 15 days,” the press note said.
It added, “During the meeting, the party’s Election Manifesto Committee was assigned the task of preparing the manifesto for the upcoming polls. It was also decided that the proposed manifesto would be made public within 15 days.”
