Ramban, Aug 26: Ramban Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 160 grams of Charas from his possession on Monday.
Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh Ramban police nabbed a notorious drug peddler. They said a team of Police Station Ramban laid a trap and intercepted a vehicle (Eco Van) bearing registration number No JK19A- 5719 on Failty Ramban link road.
During checking approximately 150-160 grams of Charas was recovered from the possession of the driver of the vehicle.
Police said the driver of the vehicle identified as Mohammad Shafi, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Failthy, Ramban was arrested on spot.
Police has registered a case FIR No. 199 of 2024 under relevant Sections of NDPS Act at Police Station Ramban,
