Class 12 (Commerce) students appeal JKBOSE

We the students of class 12 (Commerce stream) had opted for business Maths in class 11 and didn’t face any problem in respect of the book as we had the same book of Mathematics as prescribed for other streams. But class 12th business Maths book available is not available in the market. On approaching the bookshops we are told that no such subject exists. We have to appear for business Maths in our annual exams in 2018. We don’t share the same syllabus as of Mathematics XII. We tried contacting both Chairman JKBOSE and Director academics through email but did not get any response from their side. We are in a great dilemma. We don’t know what to do and how to prepare for exams. We request the concerned authorities to come up with a clarification so that we prepare ourselves for the forthcoming exams.

Fazul-Haq Colony lacks basic amenities

We the residents of Fazul-haq colony Batapora Hazratbal have been forgotten by authorities. Every plea that we made has never been listened and the letters we wrote have been thrown into a dustbin.

Authorities have failed to provide our area with the basic amenities like electricity, drainage, link road and water.

Drainage system for our colony was sanctioned a decade ago but till date no work has been done on this project. Our colony was one of the first colonies that got metered more than 12 years ago despite that we face pesky power cuts which are not less than 18-hours. The link road which leads to the Fazul Haq colony is in dilapidated condition and every year the patches on the road are filled by locals with mud, which eventually stay for day or two or if we are lucky enough a month. Is anybody listening?

Umarabad sector-B faces water scarcity

We want to bring it into the notice of the authorities that there is absolute water scarcity in Umarabad sector-B Peerbagh opposite J&K Police headquarters.

We tried to bring this issue into the notice of PHE department and higher officials but unfortunately from past 3 months no action has been taken. Due to rapid construction in this area and increase in population, water supply has been badly affected. We don’t even have water for drinking purpose. We purchase the same from market. We are facing extreme inconvenience and our daily activities have been badly hit. We request the Governor’s administration to pay some heed towards this issue and get the water supply streamlined in our area.

Shah Hamdan Colony Zakura urges Chief Engineer PDD to intervene

We the inhabitants of Shah Hamdan Colony Lane No 2,3,4, Zakura appeal to the Chief Engineer  Power Development Department (PDD) to install another transformer in our locality.

Nearly 100 families in the area have been provided only one transformer by the PDD. This only transformer is unable to sustain the load which leads to the voltage being very low. Our repeated pleas have fallen on deaf ears. We urge the Chief Engineer to direct the concerned officials to install one more transformer in our area.
