Awantipora, July 24: The Department of Mathematical Sciences, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir today organised an awareness programme on Mathematical Olympiad at Mantaqi Memorial Wakf Higher Secondary School-Awantipora.
The programme witnessed huge participation of students in fostering a spirit of mathematical inquiry and excellence.
Dr Peer Bilal, Head Department of Mathematical Sciences, underscored the importance of the Mathematical Olympiad and highlighted the significance of such competitions in enhancing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and fostering a deep appreciation for mathematics among young learners.
Dr Bilal Ahmad Para, faculty Department of Mathematical Sciences, provided a comprehensive overview of the different stages of the Olympiad, and equipped students with the knowledge and tools required to excel in such prestigious competitions.
