Srinagar, Jun 03: As India counts the votes of its general elections tomorrow, an eerie calm prevails at the offices of three major political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, except for the JKNC’s, which was seen abuzz on Monday.

They are expecting a clean sweep tomorrow, said enthusiastic JKNC workers even as they prepared for observing the counting tomorrow. On the other hand, the offices of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and People’s Conference were seen deserted, while at J&K Apni Party’s office, party chief Altaf Bukhari was seen with some of his camaraderie.

While top leaders weren’t available for comments, PDP’s Spokesperson, Suhail Bukhari said that all eyes are on the counting tomorrow.

“We will secure all the three seats from the Kashmir division,” said JKNC workers as per news agency KNO.

A leader from Sajad Lone’s People’s Conference said that they are confident and that their confidence is grounded in the “belief that the people of north Kashmir’s Baramulla-the party’s bastion- have voted for change.”

It would be a tight contest, they believed, and said that people would give their “vision for dignity and development a chance.”

Pertinently, the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections concluded on June 01 while the exit polls released on last Saturday predicted the NDA winning the polls with a thumping majority.
