Kupwara, May 29: A 35-year-old woman, Sobya was murdered by her husband in the Tangdhar area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Police said.
A statement of the Police issued here said that Sobya, a mother of two, had been assaulted by her husband Amjid Khan alias Kattoo of Shatpala, Tangdar, at his residential home and murdered.
A case FIR No 31/2024 has been registered under relevant sections of the law and an investigation taken up.
Her body was taken to Sub District Hospital Tangdhar for medicolegal formalities.
The accused has been arrested, Police said.
