PDP candidate addresses party workers in Kangan

Kangan, Aug 26: People’s Democratic Party (PDP ) candidate for the Kangan constituency, Syed Jamat Ali Shaheen was warmly received by the party workers at the party office, here on Monday.

According to a press release, hundreds of people including prominent Sarpanch of Chanthan Gulabpora, Farooq Qureshi also joined the party, a statement said. Prominent leader of PDP from Kangan, Bashir Ahmad Mir welcomed the new people into the party’s fold.

   

On the occasion Jamat Ali Shaheen said that he would work for the empowerment of the public, not just development. “ I believe it is more important to teach the technique of catching the fish rather than providing the fish.

Empowerment has wider connotation than development,” Shaheen said. Further, Jamat Ali Shah also talked about the issues related to unemployment of the youth, matters of skillset, opportunities of jobs, both skilled and unskilled, in Government and private sector.

He also discussed that the recruitment agencies of the UT Government should not only be fair but should appear to be fair and unbiased. Syed Jamat Ali thanked the people of Kangan who have given him the mandate to contest the election and bring the change on the ground.
