Srinagar, Sep 03: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Pensioners United Front today visited the Civil Secretariat here.

According to a press note, the delegation  was led by  President of the Front Abdul  Qayoom Wani.

They visited the Civil Secretariat in connection with a recent  order of enhancement of medical allowance of pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 by government of UT Ladakh.

Wani while pleading the case with high level officers of finance department told them that they are happy with the order of Ladakh UT in favour of pensioners but at the same time it speaks the volumes of double standard of LG administration with the pensioners of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The officers told the delegation that UT of Jammu and Kashmir is under model code of conduct due to election and UT government and we are  seriously looking  into this issue by submitting the proposal for same treatment to the pensioners of Jammu and Kashmir after ending model code of conduct,” the press release said.
