Srinagar, Mar 30: In a heartwarming tribute, a retirement function was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sonwar to felicitate Reyaz Ahmad Siddiqi, an educationist and Chief Education Officer (CEO) who attained superannuation this month.
The function was organised at Higher Secondary School Sonwar Srinagar where Siddiqi served as Principal of the institution for two years in the past. The function was attended by Director School Education Kashmir, along with Chief Education Officers from various districts.
Principals, Heads of Departments (HoDs), senior lecturers, lecturers, and other teaching and non-teaching officials of the school education department were also present at the occasion. Speakers at the event lauded the exemplary efforts of Siddiqi in elevating the educational standards. His strategic leadership, vision, and relentless dedication were commended as pivotal in driving positive change and fostering a culture of excellence in education.
The students presented different cultural performances during the function, adding a touch of joy and nostalgia to the occasion.
