Tourist slips into Sindh, rescued

Kangan, June 6: A tourist slipped from a bridge and fell into Sindh nallah while capturing photos in Kullan area of the Ganderbal district on Thursday.

An official said that a tourist fell into nallah Sindh near the Kullan area of tehsil Gund in Ganderbal district after he slipped from a footbridge while taking pictures.

   

He said that immediately after the information was received, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Gund component, a Police team from Police Station Gund headed by SHO Lateef Ali along with personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 118 battalion, reached the spot and swiftly engaged in the rescue operation.

The official said that the tourist who had got stuck amid the gushing Sindh nallah was rescued safely by the rescue teams. The Police urged people particularly the tourists not to go near the water bodies for clicking pictures to avoid any untoward incident.
