Work on construction of 125-bed District Hospital begins in Budgam

Budgam, Aug 07: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today inspected the initiation of work on construction of a new, state of the art 125 bedded District Hospital in Reshipora area of the district.

On the occasion, the DC stated that the 125-bedded hospital building is one of the state of the art projects of the Government of J&K and once completed, it will cater to the much needed health care facilities sought by the people of the district.

   

He added that the earmarking of land for the new hospital and the project was approved by the Administrative Council led by LG Manoj Sinha last year.

He said that under the guidance of LG and periodic monitoring of Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, multiple departments of the Government and the district administration have worked in a focused manner to ensure that work on this prestigious project is started at the earliest for its eventual timely dedication to the people of District Budgam.

The 125-bed Hospital will fulfill the long pending demand of the people of Budgam, he added.

Besides, ADC Budgam, CPO, ACR, CMO, MS District Hospital, Executive engineer R&B Budgam, AEEs and other concerned officers were also present during this site inspection.
