Shopian, Aug 20: Apni Party State Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas along with dozens of workers on Tuesday resigned from the party.
Manhas confirmed his resignation to the Greater Kashmir.
He said that he had developed differences with the party on several issues and the disagreements had reached a point where he felt that it was better to part party ways.
“I sought to iron out these difference, but to no avail,” Manhas said.
He said that he was also the in- charge of his home district Shopian, but he was not allowed to have a free hand to the address the issues related to the district.
Besides Manhas, his son Irfan Manhas, who is also DDC vice chairpersons and dozens of other workers also resigned from the party.
Manhas , a former MLC recently run for Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag- Rajouri parliamentary seat and finished third.
