Kargil, Aug 11: Leh Apex body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) on Sunday reiterated their four-point agenda demands.

The demands includes statehood, sixth schedule status, dedicated Public Services Commission (PSC) and two Parliamentary seats for Ladakh. Following a pause due to the Lok Sabha elections, the LAB and KDA leaders held a meeting in Leh , to strategise further advocacy for their four-point demands.

   

These include full statehood for Ladakh, constitutional safeguards under the Sixth Schedule, recruitment and job reservations for unemployed youth, and the creation of separate parliamentary constituencies for Leh and Kargil.

The meeting was attended by Leh Apex body co chairman Chering Dorjey and Kargil Democratic Alliance co-chairman Qamar Ali Akhoon and Asgar Ali Karbalai besides other members. They emphasised that the issues outlined in their four-point agenda are critical for the welfare and future of Ladakh and must be addressed comprehensively and without delay. They further said that they will announce future course of action soon.
