Baramulla, May 31: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Khanpora, Shrai, Kreeri and Mirchimar areas of Baramulla, Police seized 9 vehicles and arrested their drivers. The action was initiated under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla, SDPO Tangmarg, SDPO Pattan and SDPO Kreeri assisted by SHOs of PS Baramulla, PS Tangmarg, PS Kreeri and IC PP Mirgund.
Police seized nine vehicles including 7 tippers, 2 tractors and arrested 9 drivers who have been found involved in illegal mining and transportation of minerals.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Kunzer, Baramulla and Kreeri police stations and investigations have been initiated.
