Rajouri, May 20: PDP President Mehbooba Mufti appealed the people too communicate their message to Delhi through their votes instead of stones and guns.
She was talking to media persons on the sidelines of her road show in main town Rajouri . Mehbooba termed the high voters turnout in Kashmir as a form of protest of Kashmiris before Delhi.
” There is a lot of anger among people in J&K against decisions of August 5, 2019 but people think they live in a democratic country and people want to inform Delhi through votes that they do not accept what Delhi is doing and what Delhi has done in August 2019.” she said.
” We had witnessed high voters turnout during 1987 also but elections were rigged at that time and people lost their faith in elections and it was in 2002 when Atal Bihari Vajpayee connected with people and there was restoration of faith,” Mehbooba Mufti said.
She said that a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among youth voters especially.
