Day after jumping into Jhelum, woman’s body retrieved in north Kashmir’s Baramulla

Srinagar, Aug 17: Body of a woman, who had jumped into river Jhelum on Friday, was retrieved Saturday morning in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, reports said.

Quoting an official news agency KNC reported that a rescue operation was launched by SDRF Baramulla at Drangbal after a woman (name withheld) from Shalkote Rafiabad jumped into the river yesterday.

   

“After many hours of strenuous efforts the body was retrieved today,” the official said.

“The body has been handed over to the family for last rites,” added the official.
