‘Difficult political decision,’ Yasir Reshi on resigning from PC

Srinagar, Aug 27: The former member of the legislative council from Sonawari seat of north Kashmir’s bandipora, Yasir Reshi, on Tuesday formally announced his resignation from Sajad Lone led Peoples Conference.

In a statement, Reshi expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had while part of the party and appreciated the experience he said he gained during his tenure, news agency KDC reported.

   

Describing his exit as a “difficult political decision,” Reshi while acknowledging the pivotal role of PC chief Sajad Lone, said ” Sajad Sahab treated me like a younger brother during my political journey and that under Sajad’s leadership he gained “immense political experience.”

He thanked Sajad and extended his wishes for the party’s future.
