Establishing of drug de-addiction centres demanded

Srinagar, June 26: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) and JKPUF today demanded drug de-addiction centres at sub-division level and counselling centres in schools and hospitals.

According to a press release, JKCSF) and JKPUF announced to carry forward an organised struggle against drug addiction and social evils.

   

Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani reteriated that fight against drugs addiction is to be fought by every member of the society as per the resources and the power of affairs one has. Wani said that drugs and social evils have spread all over in the society and if the same menace is not curbed in time it will engulf the whole society and make it crippled.

Chairman JKCSF and JKPUF appealed all stakeholders to unite and fight against drug addiction and its associated ramifications. Wani said law enforcing agencies like police, imams, teachers, senior citizens, lawyers and journalists are pivotal in controlling and curbing the menace. JKCSF reiterated its demand of establishing drug de-addiction centres at Sub Divion Level and Counselling centres in every hospital and every school.
