Farooq Abdullah asks Centre to handle Bangladesh situation with great care

Srinagar, Aug 06: National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah Tuesday said that India should be extremely careful and should watch the situation emerging from neighbourig country Bangladesh with great care.

He however expressed hope that people at helm will get over the crisis soon.

   

“We should be extremely careful and watch the situation with great care. I hope the issue will get resolved and people at helm will get over the crisis and will maintain cordial relations with India,” Dr Farooq Abdullah as per Greater Kashmir told reporters in Srinagar.

He said there has been unrest for many years. “The unemployment has been one of the major factors. Secondly the economic condition of the country was also bad. All these things together really led to this situation where by government had to fall. I think all dictators must remember,” he maintained.

When asked about the visit of Election Commission to J&K, he replied “Let them come and fix the dates for holding assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir”.
