GMC Srinagar, NIT Hazratbal order suspension of class work

Srinagar, June 06: The Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar on Thursday ordered suspension of undergraduate classes from June 6 to 8.

In a separate communiqué National Institute of Technology Srinagar also suspended class work for today.

   

Registrar Academics GMC Srinagar in an order said that Undergraduate classes shall remain suspended from 6th to 8th June 2024.

Notably, GMC on Wednesday on it micro-blogging site said, “Apropos certain reports from GMC Srinagar it is to inform that immediate cognisance of the matter was taken by GMC Srinagar administration. Pending enquiry the concerned individual has been suspended with immediate effect.”

“An enquiry comprising 13 HOD’s/HOU’s has been initiated for necessary action under rules. All concerned are requested to maintain peace and tranquility in the campus,” GMC said.

National Institute of Technology Hazratbal Srinagar also suspended class work for today.

The communication in this regard held that no student residing outside will be allowed to enter into the campus.

“The class work in the institute shall remain suspended on 06.06.2024 (Thursday). No UG/PG/PhD student, residing outside, will be allowed to enter the campus,” Dean Academic Affairs NIT Srinagar said.
