Rajouri, May 1: PDP President and party candidate for Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary constituency, Mehbooba Mufti , today said that she is completely with INDIA bloc for a larger cause.
” Yes, I am completely with INDIA bloc headed by Congress,” she said while replying to a question regarding decision to contest elections from Anantnag- Rajouri seat when National Conference, another INDIA bloc member has also fielded its candidate.
She however skipped the question regarding both NC and PDP contesting against each other.
Mehbooba Mufti further said that present elections in Jammu and Kashmir are above from basic election issues like public grievances and demands and are mostly based on identity of the people.
” Identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and their rights have been snatched and this election is based on this fight,” she said adding that people are facing high headedness.
She further said that people in Jammu province, Kashmir valley are against these anti people policies of present government whereas people from Ladakh are also on protest.
” What to talk of development. No development has taken place for last five years and condition of roads has turned dilapidated. Power scenario has also deteriorated and people are receiving hefty bills,” Mehbooba said. She assured that all these issues concerning common man including the main problem of unemployment will be dealt properly if PDP is voted to power in assembly polls.
Mehbooba Mufti led road shows of party here. She reached Rajouri from Jammu on Wednesday morning and then moved to Manyal Gali from where she started her road show and it passed from different areas of Thanamandi sub division.
She addressed gatherings at a number of places and asked people to vote for her so that she can advocate the plight of masses in parliament.
