Kuwait building fire: Modi announces Rs 2-lakh ex-gratia to families of Indians

Srinagar, Jun 12: Indian premiere Narendra Modi on Wednesday at his residence 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi chaired a meeting regarding the fire tragedy in Kuwait where several Indians were among 40 dead in a building fire earlier today. 

Expressing his deepest condolences, Modi announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 2-Lakh to each of the family of the deceased Indian.

   

Meanwhile Ministry of External Affairs is in continuous contact with the Kuwaiti officials to repatriate the bodies.
