Library inaugurated in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, June 26: To help the students and aspirants of various competitive exams, a library-cum-reading room housed in the Municipal building at New Bus Stand Ganderbal was inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta on Wednesday.

The library-cum-reading room has been established by J&K Police and the Municipal Council Ganderbal under the civic action programme.

   

Addl SP Ganderbal Aijaz Malik, DySP HQ Ganderbal Gh Hassan, Dy SP DAR DPL Ganderbal Nazir Ahmad, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, teachers, students, civil society members and respectable people of the district were also present.

While speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta stressed upon the students to take studies seriously for their better and successful future and he also impressed upon them that they should also take part in sports activities as it helps to boost self-confidence, concentration, physical as well as mental health. Furthermore, he stated that students should make optimum use of time and channelise their energy in the right directions and take good benefits of the newly established library in the district.

At the end, community members, teachers, especially the students expressed their joy and enthusiasm besides appreciating the role of Ganderbal Police for arranging and providing them with such facilities in order to boost their morale, “which enhances curiosity for book-readings and to develop proficiencies in choosing better educational careers for students.”
