Poonch, July 5: Security forces on Friday evening destroyed a high explosive 120 mm mortar shell that was recovered in rusted condition from Jhullas village of Poonch.
This shell was seen by locals after which forces were informed and a police team from Poonch police station alongwith Bomb Disposal Squad and team of army reached the site.
The area was cordoned, officials said, adding that the explosive material was destroyed through a controlled explosion that was carried out by the bomb disposal squad.
