Pakistan should understand terrorism takes to nowhere: Farooq Abdullah

Rajouri, July 7: National Conference (NC) President and three-time chief minister, Farooq Abdullah Sunday said that Pakistan should understand that terrorism takes nowhere and was paying its price vis-à-vis the economic crisis in the country.

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of his tour to Poonch district where he participated in a religious event of the Sikh community and offered prayers for peace and progress, Abdullah said that friendly ties between India and Pakistan were important and Pakistan should understand it immediately.

   

“Good relations are important and will ensure peace as well as progress and Pakistan should understand it,” he said.

The former Member of Parliament said that terrorism takes nowhere and Pakistan should understand it.

He said that Pakistan was now paying a price for this in the form of economic as well as other crises prevailing there.

The veteran political leader also assured the people of the Sikh community that the elected Members of Parliament of NC would highlight the demand for the inclusion of the Punjabi language as an official language which was alone as well as the genuine demand of the community.

He advised everyone to stick to their mother tongue and promote it at all levels.
