PM Modi concludes 2-day Kashmir visit

Srinagar, June 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrapped up his two-day visit to Kashmir on Friday, which featured a series of high-profile events and interactions, including leading the International Day of Yoga (IDY) celebrations.

Following the IDY celebrations, PM Modi departed for New Delhi.

   

From the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), where the event took place on Friday morning, he drove to Badami Bagh Cantonment, the 15 Corps headquarters of the Army.

From there, the PM was flown to the Technical Airport.

At the Technical Airport, he was seen off by Chief Secretary Atal Dullo, Director General of Police Rashmi Ranjan Swain, and other officials.

PM Modi’s visit commenced on Thursday late afternoon with the inauguration of several key development projects designed to enhance J&K’s infrastructure and economy.

During a ceremony at SKICC in Srinagar, he laid the foundation stones for various initiatives.

“{These projects will not only improve connectivity but also provide better educational and healthcare opportunities for the people of Kashmir,” he said in his speech, underscoring the government’s commitment to J&K’s development.

The PM also announced that preparations for the much-anticipated Assembly elections in J&K had already started and promised that the statehood too would be restored soon.

The second day of Modi’s visit on Friday was marked by the celebration of the 10th IDY event at SKICC on the picturesque banks of Dal Lake.
