Teenage boy’s body recovered from Jhelum in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Srinagar, Aug 05:  Body of a teenage boy who drowned in Jhelum at Halmulla Sangam in Bijbehara on Sunday was recovered on Monday morning around 10:45 am, reports said.

Quoting an official, news agency GNS reported that a joint rescue operation by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), police and local authorities had been making efforts to locate the boy, and after many hours of the searches his boyd was located around 10:45 AM today.

   

The boy identified as Mohd Shabir son of Noor Mohammad, a resident of Budhan Reasi, drowned on Sunday afternoon.

Confirming the retrieval of the body from the site, a police official said that the body has been handed over to the family for the last rites.
