Jammu, June 6: J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina today said that time is not far when BJP will parliament and assembly seats in Kashmir.
He was addressing a press conference here. “BJP has gained a massive support in Kashmir region and consolidated its base. Th day is not far when our party will win parliament and assembly seats in the Kashmir region,”Raina said.
He added that BJP is highly grateful to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their support in Lok Sabha elections . “BJP secured a resounding victory in this Parliament election in Jammu and Kashmir.With the blessings of people of Jammu region Dr Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma secured consecutive third time victory,” Raina said
The BJP leader stated that the BJP received the overwhelming support of the voters of both parliamentary constituencies which translated into this victory. He also expressed gratitude to the senior citizens, first time voters, women and all the sections of voters for this support.
He also expressed gratitude to the residents of Anantnag, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla, Kulgam and all other areas. Raina said that the BJP has worked with the principle of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.” expressed thanks to the officials of Election Commission, and the security forces who dedicated themselves to ensure the successful and peaceful culmination of the electoral process.
Raina stated that National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah knows it well that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has built a new and happy Jammu and Kashmir where everyone, including marginalised sections, have been given their rights. “This effort has resulted in record polling in this Parliament election. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has worked hard to make J&K a prosperous region. Omar Abdullah is well acquainted with the difficult situation that existed in Jammu and Kashmir in the past and thanked Prime Minister Home Minister Amit Shah and LG Manoj Sinha for the successful return of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
The BJP leader recalled that earlier bandh calendar was issued in the valley, buses from Jammu to Kashmir were checked at multiple places, there was constant fear of bomb blasts. “But today, there is visible development, increased tourist footfall due to the efforts of PM Modi, HM Amit Shah and LG Manoj Sinha,” he said.
He also congratulated the other three elected MPs from Jammu and Kashmir for their victory in Lok Sabha elections and said that people have defeated many big wigs in this election with the power of their vote.
Raina said that in the upcoming assembly elections, panchayat, and urban local body polls, an honest and nationalistic leadership will emerge victorious. Those who propagate politics of venom and division have been shown the mirror by the people, he said.
