LG attends monsoon music fest in New Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday attended a monsoon music festival ‘Boondan Phuhar’ organised by Girija Darshan Trust, in New Delhi.

In his address, the LG commended the organisers for the musical evening of Ragas dedicated to the rainy season.

   

He also lauded the significant contribution of Vidushi Sunanda Sharma, a distinguished disciple of Girija Devi and Pandit Sudarshan Sharma, for preserving and promoting the rich musical and artistic heritage of Banaras.

Vidushi Sunanda Sharma, an Indian classical vocalist from Banaras Gharana, enthralled the audience, through her soulful rendition of classical ragas.

She was accompanied by Ghulam Ali on Sarangi, Mithilesh Jha on Tabla, and Vinay Mishra on harmonium.
