Consignment of arms recovered near LoC in Rajouri

Rajouri, July 26: A suspected drone dropped consignment of arms has been recovered during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in a village near Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.

The operation during which this consignment has been recovered was launched in the wee morning hours on Friday after army troops on LoC picked up a suspected drone movement last night.

   

Officials said that the army troops on LoC in Nowshera’s Mangla Battalion area picked up suspicious movement of a drone which was fired upon by army troops.

Following this movement, officials said, a CASO was launched on Friday early morning in order to track any drone dropping apprehension.

During searches, they said, a suspected drone dropped consignment was found and recovered by army and police in LoC village of Sehar in Nowshera sub division.

The consignment comprising of a pistol, two magazines and thirty seven bullets has been recovered so far during this operation while further search in the area is going on.

The area where search is going on is located near Anti Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS) of Line of Control (LoC).
