Ramban, July 28: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained open for two-way traffic of Amarnath Yatra convoy besides light medium vehicles, and one-way traffic of heavy vehicles for Jammu on Sunday.

Traffic authorities said that subject to fair weather and good road conditions, light-medium vehicles carrying Shari Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims would be allowed to ply on either side of highway on Monday. They said heavy vehicles would be allowed to move towards Jammu on Monday afternoon. Earlier, traffic authorities said National Highway remained open but traffic movement remained slow due to the breakdown of few heavy vehicles and due to single-lane road stretches at Dalwass, Mehar Cafeteria, and between Maroog to Kishtwar Pathar areas between Nashri and Banihal sectors of National Highway.

   

Traffic officials monitoring traffic regulations said National Highway remained open for two-way traffic of light medium vehicles and one way traffic of Heavy vehicles for Kashmir. They said heavy vehicles released from Udhampur are still heading towards Kashmir in a regulated manner. Meanwhile, traffic authorities said, subject to fair weather and good road conditions, light-medium vehicles carrying Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims would be allowed to ply on either side of highway on Monday. They said heavy vehicles would be allowed to move towards Jammu on Monday.
