Apni Party workers’ meeting held in Rajouri | Delay in assembly polls disempowered J&K people: Zulfikar Ali

Rajouri, Jan 29: Former minister and senior leader of Apni Party Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has expressed serious concern over delay in assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that it has given rise to the feeling of disempowerment among the people.

“We are unfortunate that assembly elections were not held in Jammu and Kashmir whereas the other states across India have held series of elections in phased manner and the people elected the governments of their choice,” said Choudhary Zulfkar Ali while addressing a one day workers’ meeting in Rajouri.

He expressed anguish over the delay in elections and said that how the absence of an elected government has created dissatisfaction among the people regarding development and their day-to-day issues. He recalled how the country celebrated 75th Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm and underlined the importance of having an elected government that would address the public issues.
