If voted to power DPAP will uplift, protect rights of Kashmiri Pandits: Azad

Jammu, Mar 1: Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad today said that if voted to power the government of his party will uplift and protect the rights of Kashmiri Pandits.

According to a press release, he stated that during his visit to Jagti township in Nagrota Jammu. Azad interacted with the displaced Kashmiri Pandits to listen to their concerns and challenges. He pledged to raise various pressing issues being faced by the migrants, including enhancing employees’ security and reinstating free ration and electricity for low-income employees. DPAP Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to the settlement of Kashmiri Pandits.

   

He said, “During my tenure as Chief Minister, I built these flats. But since then no government has paid any attention towards them. They are suffering. We provided packages for employment and other essentials during my tenure in the center. However, since then, the central government has neglected these efforts. We were expecting further support packages for the residents.”

He appealed to the government to visit and witness their pain. “My government will uplift them, will take all necessary steps for their settlement and providing jobs and facilities to those living in these flats,”Azad . He also extended warm greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.
