IWT significant agreement: Tarigami

Srinagar, June 25: CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today said that amidst the trust deficit between India and Pakistan, the Indus Water Treaty (IWT) stands as a significant agreement, promoting cooperation despite their strained relations.

He posted on X, “It is hoped that both parties will take a holistic approach to address current issues and incorporate climate change considerations into the treaty. This will benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir and promote sustainable water resource management in the region.”
