JKCSF concerned over power shortage

Srinagar, Mar 12: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society  Forum (JKCSF) has expressed concern over the growing public issues like improper electricity and  water supply and the hike in the prices of eatables in markets as the holy month of Ramadhan has started.

According to a press release in a meeting held at Srinagar under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani  and the meeting greeted the people on Ramadhan.

   

The society has urged the government to take a review of the situation of electricity crisis in J&K and to do necessary measures to provide sufficient power supply to the people in the holy month.

JKCSF has envisaged upon the government to make special market checking squads for controlling rate hikes and the hoarding of stocks also. The government should supply drinking water to those areas by tankers that face immense water  shortage, the press release said.
