Sajad Lone to contest from Handwara, Kupwara twin constituencies

Kupwara, Sep 6: Peoples Conference (PC) Chairman Sajad Gani Lone would contest the assembly election from Handwara and Kupwara, the twin assembly constituencies of north Kashmir.

PC Senior General Secretary Molvi Imran Raza Ansari said the PC chief would contest from both the assembly segments of Handwara and Kupwara.

   

In Handwara, Lone would be up against National
Conference (NC) senior leader Chowdhary Muhammad Ramzan and the most probable Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) candidate Abdul Majid Banday.

In Kupwara, he would be up against Nasir Aslam Wani of NC, Mir Fayaz of PDP, and Muhammad Amin of the Apni Party while AIP has not yet announced its candidate in the segment.

Lone won the assembly election from Handwara in 2014 defeating Ramzan.
