Ramban, Feb, 25: Police recovered a rusted hand grenade from the roadside in Kishtwar on Sunday afternoon.
Police sources said some passersby spotted an abandoned hand grenade-like substance on the road at Zargar Mohalla in Kishtwar.
They said on getting information Police, Special Operation Group (SOG) and Bomb disposal squad reached the spot and took the hand grenade into their possession.
They said the hand grenade was found in rusted condition.
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom confirmed that a rusted H36 hand grenade was recovered. He ruled out the possibility of any hideout in the area.
