Zabarwan Cyclothon set to roll on Aug 4

Srinagar, July 27: Delhi-based mountain sports brand Zabarwan is organizing a cycling marathon along the banks of Dal Lake on August 4, with hundreds of participants expected from across the Valley.

A statement said that the event will be flagged off from Zabarwan Park on Boulevard Road.

   

Sehan Shetty, founder of the Zabarwan brand, said, “We decided to pay homage to the place that inspired our brand’s name, hence choosing this location.”

The organizers hope to inspire a new generation of mountain cyclists, with maximum participation expected in the kids’ category. “We aim to nurture future national and international level cyclists,” Shetty added.

The Zabarwan Cyclothon will conclude with an award ceremony featuring multiple awards and citations for athletes. Shetty also revealed plans to sponsor talented young cyclists to promote their growth in the sport.

This event aims to blend adventure sports with Srinagar’s natural beauty, potentially fostering a new wave of cycling enthusiasts in the region.
