KVK Jammu conducts Swachhata Pakhwada Cleanliness Drive

Jammu, Aug 09: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Jammu, a unit of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), has conducted a comprehensive cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative in R.S. Pura.

The program was attended by a significant number of farmers and rural youth from the area.

   

The event was organised under the leadership of SKUAST-J Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.N. Tripathi, and the able guidance of Director Extension, Prof. Amrish Vaid, and Dr. Puneet Choudhary, Chief Scientist and Head of KVK, Jammu.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Imran Ahmad Ganai, Assistant Professor from the Division of Animal Nutrition (SKUAST-J), highlighted that the Swachhta Pakhwada is a unique government initiative aimed at promoting cleanliness and sanitation across the country.

He emphasized that maintaining high standards of cleanliness is not merely a matter of aesthetics but a fundamental requirement for ensuring community health and well-being.
