Poonch, Aug 09: An elderly person, who was injured in a bear attack four days ago, has succumbed to his injuries.
A village woman was injured in a fresh attack of the animal in Batalkote village area of Poonchs’ Mandi tehsil.
Earlier, 60 year old Bashir Ahmed son of Raheem Ahmed resident of Larpa Loran was injured in a bear attack.
The victim was critically injured and was shifted to Poonch hospital from where he was shifted to a hospital in Punjab. But he succumbed to injuries there this afternoon.
On Friday evening, locals said, a village woman Gulzar Bi wife of Abdul Majid resident of Naryaan Maharkote village was injured when a wild bear attacked her in the village.
She was shifted to Poonch district hospital where she is under treatment.
