PM addresses Austria-India CEOs meeting

New Delhi, July 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, addressed a gathering of leading CEOs from Austria and India, representing diverse sectors including infrastructure, automobile, energy, engineering, and start-ups.

Both leaders acknowledged the significant role of industry leaders in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting economic cooperation between India and Austria. They noted the steady increase in trade and investment between the two countries and emphasized the need to realize the full potential of the India-Austria partnership through greater collaboration.

   

Prime Minister Modi urged Austrian business stakeholders to explore the rapidly growing opportunities in India as the country aims to become the third-largest economy in the world in the coming years.

He highlighted India’s transformative progress over the past decade, driven by political stability, policy predictability, and a reform-oriented economic agenda. He emphasized the steps taken by the Indian government to improve the ease of doing business, which has attracted global companies to invest in India.

Discussing India’s economic growth and transformation, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the country’s success in the start-up sector, the creation of next-generation infrastructure, and its commitment to advancing a green agenda.

He suggested organizing a joint hackathon to leverage the start-up bridge between India and Austria. He spoke about the success of Digital Public Infrastructure in India and the measures taken to enhance connectivity and logistics.
