Tyndale-Biscoe School clinches U-14 Inter-School Football title

Srinagar, June 6: Tyndale-Biscoe School emerged victorious in the finals of the Under-14 Inter-School Football Tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, defeating Delhi Public School, Athwajan, 4-1. The tournament took place at the Polo Ground in Srinagar from June 1 to 6.

Tyndale-Biscoe advanced to the quarter-finals after receiving a walkover in their first match. In the quarter-finals, they secured a 2-0 victory against Woodland School. Demonstrating their dominance, Tyndale-Biscoe also triumphed in the semi-finals against Oasis School with a 1-0 win, with both matches being played on the same day.

   

The finals, held on June 6 saw Tyndale-Biscoe School face off against Delhi Public School, Srinagar. Tyndale-Biscoe took an early lead, thanks to Daies Waheed’s goal in the 12th minute. However, Delhi Public School equalized in the 22nd minute, ending the first half at 1-1.

In the second half, Tyndale-Biscoe regained control. Mukees Parvez scored in the 47th minute, putting Tyndale-Biscoe ahead 2-1. Building on their momentum, the Biscoe boys continued to dominate possession and quickly added two more goals in the 51st and 58th minutes, both scored by Daies Waheed and Mukees Parvez, respectively. The match concluded with a decisive 4-1 victory for Tyndale-Biscoe School.

Key players Daies Waheed and Mukees Parvez were instrumental in the final match, each contributing two goals to secure their team’s victory. Tyndale-Biscoe’s consistent performance and strategic gameplay throughout the tournament highlight their well-deserved triumph.

Director TBMS Society, Parwez Samuel Kaul, congratulated the students for their match-winning performance. Administrator TBMS Society,Rahul Rex Kaul, congratulated the students for their discipline and sportsmanship, and Principal TBMS, Mabel Yonzon, appreciated the students for their perseverance throughout the tournament.
