Advance course in power, energy engineering begins at BGSB University

A week long short term course on recent advances in power and energy engineering started at Baba Gulam Shah Badshah (BGSB) University, here today.

Speaking at the inaugural function vice chancellor of the university, prof Javid Musarrat emphasized on the importance of such programmes for students, researchers and faculty members in academics and research. 

   

Prof Musarrat said that BGSB University is determined to provide such platforms to the budding researchers and innovators to augment their potential for the larger benefits of mankind. He said that under TEQIP-III prgrammge the College of Engineering and Technology, BGSB University is setting new mile stones in the field of engineering and technology.  

Professor Sufiyan Beigh, Principal ZHCET, Aligarh Muslim University, was the chief guest on the occasion. The inaugural session started with the recitation of holy Quran followed by welcome address by Shafqat Nabi Mughal, HoD of Electrical & Renewable Energy Engineering.

 Prof Iqbal Parvez, Dean Academic Affairs, applauded the department of ERE for organizing this workshop and also highlighted the activities that would take place under TEQIP-III. Distinguished key note speakers from Aligarh Muslim University, Prof Imtiyaz Ashraf, Chairman, Electrical Engineering Department, Dr Adil Sarvar Assistant Professor, AMU and Dr Mohammed Tariq (formal scientist Rolls Royce) presented their views  on the different themes  of power engineering.  

A large number of students, faculty members and participant from within and outside the University also took part in the inaugural function.
