Ambitious goals set under MGNREGA: DDC Jammu

Jammu, Nov 1: District Development Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, on Wednesday chaired the Block Diwas meeting at Panchayat Lower Jandyal in the Mathwar block.
BDC Chairman Mathwar, Kuldeep Raj, Sarpanch Anjali Sharma and numerous other Panchayati Raj Institution members were prominently present on the occasion. District officers besides a large number of locals were also present there to raise their issues.
Speaking at the event, the DDC stated that the district administration has set ambitious targets under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act works and concerted efforts are going to be put in to achieve the same. He assured that staff shortages would be examined and resolved.
