Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Gazanfar Ali today conducted city tour.
During the tour, he visited various areas of the cityincluding Achan Landfill Site and reviewed sanitation and other alliedfunctions of the Corporation.
He was accompanied by the Joint Commissioner Works,Secretary SMC, Chief Sanitation Officer, Executive Engineers and otherconcerned.
The Commissioner wasinformed that for scientific management of garbage various measures are beingtaken at the site. He directed to increase capacity of Mechanical Segregatorand composting plant being installed at the site.
He directed the concerned to ensure waste segregation at source throughout the city in a phased manner.
