The department of Neurosurgery at the Noora Hospital (a multi-specialty hospital), based at Umarabad HMT here successfully operated upon a large brain tumor (Cerebello pontine meningioma).
“A 65 year old female was admitted with features of difficulty in walking and headache. The patient was diagnosed with a large brain tumor.
The tumor was completely removed and patient has been discharged in good health.
The team of Neurosurgeons was headed by Dr Basharat Ahmad Kanth, Dr Basharat Mujtaba Jan and team of Anesthesia lead by Prof Javaid Naqasbandi and the team was also supported by ICU Incharge Dr Mujeed Showkat, under the guidance of medical superintendent Dr N.A.Wafai,” the hospital said in a statement.
“After the achievement of such milestone by the neurosurgery department, Noora Hospital, the managing director Manzoor Ahmad Wagay congratulated the whole team of doctors especially Dr Basharat Ahmad Kant,” the statement added.
